Flight data

College program jet flights

Flights of aircraft owned by a university, its athletic department, or an athletics foundation, plus documented trips we have a receipt for on charter, booster, or state aircraft. Filter by program, conference, purpose, and date window, then export individual flight rows or a university mileage summary to CSV.

About this data — what’s included

Two kinds of rows, told apart by the attribution column. Owned rows are aircraft titled to the school itself — the university, the athletic association or department, or an athletics foundation (for example the Crimson Tide or Razorback Foundation). Documented rows are trips on a charter, booster, or state jet where a manifest, FOIA release, conference-event match, or published story is the receipt for that flight (Clemson, Nebraska, and Michigan State are examples). The aircraft’s actual owner and class travel with every row.

What we still exclude is the undocumented charter, booster, and private-LLC side — flights we can’t tie to a program with a receipt. So a program with few or no rows here usually isn’t grounded: it just doesn’t own a jet, and we don’t yet have sourced trips for the planes it charters. A sparse result means “little we can stand behind,” not “no travel.”

And even where a program does own a jet, this isn’t its complete travel record. The same program may also charter, fly commercial, or borrow a booster’s plane, and only the documented ones surface here. Tracks are reconstructed from public ADS-B, where uneven volunteer coverage can still drop individual flights. Read counts as a floor, not a full tally. More in our methodology.
