Virginia Tech's Board of Visitors began its August quarterly cycle on Monday, August 18, 2025 with new-and-returning member orientation at the Pete Dye River Course in Radford, the executive committee on August 19, and the full board on August 20 at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The foundation Citation made a Blacksburg-Richmond-Dulles-Blacksburg loop the same day, the canonical pickup pattern for board members traveling in from the state capital and the DC area.
AD Whit Babcock used the meeting cycle to pitch his 'Invest to Win' plan calling for a $52M athletics funding boost.
