The Board of Visitors closed its two-day Blacksburg meeting on the afternoon of June 2 with a slate of athletics-shaping decisions, including the affiliation agreement with Hokie Ventures. N51VT ran a Blacksburg-Richmond-Norfolk-Blacksburg loop that evening, the mirror image of the early-morning pickup run from June 1.

Hokie Ventures was framed in the board's announcement as the vehicle for revenue-sharing, NIL, and donor strategy in the new college-sports environment. The $75 million record gift unveiled two days later put a number on what the board had just authorized.
