Virginia Tech officially introduced Brian White as its new athletic director at a 10 a.m. press conference at Lane Stadium on Wednesday, June 24. At 11:20 the Virginia Tech Foundation's Cessna Citation XLS+, N51VT, pushed back from Blacksburg and turned northeast for Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County, the small GA field near Richmond that the Foundation has used before.

After a 45-minute stop the jet pushed back south and was on the ground at Northwest Florida Beaches International — the field that serves Panama City Beach and the 30A / South Walton corridor — at 2:15 p.m. The 30A stretch is one of the densest second-home territories for Hokie alumni and donors. White's hiring announcement said he would "spend the next several weeks talking and listening with…donors and other key stakeholders," and NCAA football is in its dead period from June 22 through July 31 — off-campus coach-led recruiting is prohibited. The geography reads as a Foundation-led donor tour beginning on day one.

The passenger list is not public.
