A Royal Canadian Air Force Challenger returned from Washington to Ottawa early Saturday after Global Affairs Canada announced Foreign Minister Anita Anand’s Aug. 20 trip to the U.S. capital.
Canada’s official notice said Anand would meet U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss continental security and other global priorities. The RCAF says its Ottawa-based 412 Transport Squadron operates four CC-144 Challengers for Government of Canada and Canadian Armed Forces transportation requirements.
The city pair and timing create a medium-confidence event match, not a passenger identification. The public sources do not establish that Anand—or any other named official—was aboard, and the aircraft can also perform other government missions.
