UT's system King Air touched three system campuses in one morning — and the third was the campus hosting next week's trustees meeting

System president Randy Boyd visited Pulaski himself this spring. The route reads as a pre-board host-campus walkthrough — five days early.

N472UT, a Beechcraft King Air registered to the University of Tennessee — the institutional system, not Tennessee Athletics — pushed back from Memphis at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday. Memphis is home of the UT Health Science Center.

The jet flew to Everett-Stewart Regional in Union City, the GA field that serves UT Martin (the system's far-western campus), then to Abernathy Field in Pulaski, the GA field that serves UT Southern. UT Southern is the host campus for the UT Board of Trustees' annual meeting June 29-30, per the system's June 22 public notice. From there the King Air flew the final leg back to McGhee Tyson — Knoxville, UT system headquarters — at 10:47 a.m., closing a same-morning circuit that had touched three of the system's five primary campuses in under three hours.

UT system president Randy Boyd visited the Pulaski campus earlier this spring. The institutional registration and the route — three campuses on the way home to HQ, days before the trustees gavel in at the third — read as a pre-board host-campus walkthrough. The passenger list is not public.
