Washington booked its primary team charter to New Orleans six days before the Huskies beat Texas 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl semifinal. University records put the Boeing 737 round trip at $334,498.50, making it the larger of Washington's two Sugar Bowl flight contracts.
Alaska operated both flights under number 9680. N963AK flew from Boeing Field to New Orleans on December 26, while N966AK made the January 2 return after Washington advanced to the national championship.
The contract explains why two different aircraft share one Washington journey. It identifies the team charter and cost but does not provide a passenger manifest.
