Lane Kiffin Flew an MMR Jet to Atlanta During LSU’s Pursuit of Jordan Seaton

Lane Kiffin flew from Baton Rouge to Atlanta on January 20 as LSU pursued prized transfer offensive tackle Jordan Seaton. Kiffin had appeared at a Baton Rouge leadership breakfast that morning, then boarded MMR West LLC’s N389PS for a same-day round trip to DeKalb–Peachtree Airport.

Kiffin’s verified Instagram Story showed the cabin traveling at 514 mph shortly after the aircraft left Baton Rouge. N389PS was climbing through roughly 20,000 feet at about that speed at the time; the MMR aircraft returning from Dulles was below 2,000 feet and slowing for its Baton Rouge landing. Kiffin posted “Headed home” from the same cabin at 9:13 p.m., less than three minutes before N389PS departed Atlanta.

In a contemporaneous X post, Matt Moscona reported that Seaton had left an LSU visit, that his uncle posted from Atlanta, and that Kiffin flew there “presumably” to continue the pursuit. Seaton committed to LSU three days later. That makes the Seaton recruitment the strongest explanation for the five-hour Atlanta stop, although no public manifest or meeting record identifies whom Kiffin met there.
