B-29 Doc and D-Day C-47 Arrived Ahead of Terre Haute Air Show

The two restored World War II aircraft reached Hulman Field Thursday before a weekend of flight experiences, tours and performances.

Two of the Terre Haute Air Show's most historic visitors arrived Thursday afternoon. B-29 Doc reached Terre Haute Regional Airport at 4:01 p.m. ET, followed at 5:35 p.m. by “That's All, Brother,” the C-47 that led the main airborne formation on D-Day.

Their operators' official schedules place both aircraft at the Aug. 22–23 show. Doc also scheduled local flight experiences beginning Friday, while the C-47's tour calendar lists Terre Haute as its Aug. 21–23 stop.
