Michigan State’s Media Days Schedule Lines Up With a Lansing–Chicago Jet Shuttle
N188TH reached Midway the afternoon before MSU’s July 29 session and returned to Lansing after the Spartans’ scheduled day.
Michigan State was scheduled for Day 2 of Big Ten Football Media Days at the Hilton Chicago on Wednesday, July 29. The previous afternoon, N188TH flew from Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport to Chicago Midway.
The jet left Chicago for Detroit after that trip, returned to Midway on Wednesday, then departed for Lansing at 6:12 p.m. ET and landed at 6:48 p.m. The positioning pattern is consistent with a drop-off and pickup shuttle around Michigan State’s Media Days appearance.
No public manifest, invoice, charter contract or trip sheet identifies the customer or passengers. Federal Aviation Administration records associate N188TH with Jet Linx’s charter certificate, but Jet Linx does not appear on Michigan State’s posted approved-charter list. JetSweep therefore classifies this as probable event travel, not a confirmed university-paid charter.
