This page is about visitors to this website. For how we collect and handle data about aircraft and the institutions that operate them, see our Methodology and Editorial & Ethics pages.
We try to collect as little as possible about the people who use JetSweep. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising or third-party advertising trackers.
What we collect
Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, the pages requested, your browser type, and timestamps. This is used to operate the site, keep it secure, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate traffic. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.
Email, if you give it to us. If you sign up for our newsletter, we store the email address you provide and use it only to send the updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time, after which we remove your address from the mailing list.
Messages you send us. If you email us a correction, question, or removal request, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we ever add analytics or other technologies that store information on your device, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls the law requires.
Service providers
We use third-party vendors to host and operate the site, for example our website host and our database provider, and an email service if you subscribe. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their service. They may process this information in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep technical logs for a limited period in the ordinary course of running and securing the site. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and our records.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing. Because we collect very little, in most cases this simply means unsubscribing from email or asking us to delete correspondence. To make a request, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
JetSweep is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we make material changes, we will revise the “last updated” date above.
