A Nov. 21 Oxford Flight Fills the Last Gap in LSU’s Kiffin Chase, 2025-11-21

On the Friday before Lane Kiffin chose LSU, a HondaJet left Baton Rouge for Oxford, spent 35 minutes on the ground and flew home. Fans tracked N894LL in real time and updated the thread when it landed back in Baton Rouge at about 11:46 a.m. ET.

A live post briefly claimed the plane had turned toward Gainesville. The completed flight record shows that was wrong: N894LL left Oxford and returned directly to Baton Rouge. The stronger connection came later, when The Washington Post reported that records it showed LSU booster Pepper Rutland contained six Baton Rouge–Oxford round trips between Nov. 17 and Dec. 2. N894LL is the missing sixth flight in that sequence, although no public source identifies who was aboard or what happened during the short stop.
