LSU's $17,896 Kiffin Flight Appears To Carry the Wrong Date, 2025-12-02

LSU says Tiger Athletic Foundation paid Executive Aircraft Charter Service $17,896 for a taxable trip described as Lane Kiffin's travel home from Baton Rouge to Oxford and back. Its filing lists Lane Kiffin, Chris Kiffin, Christian Kiffin, Thaddeus Rivers and Tyler Viens, and dates the trip Dec. 12.

The movement record points to Dec. 2. One day after LSU introduced Kiffin, N957CR flew Baton Rouge-Oxford-Baton Rouge, spending 22 minutes in Oxford before returning. The shape matches a drop-off and aircraft return, while a complete search of our retained Dec. 12 record found no aircraft making LSU's reported route.

The cleanest explanation is a clerical error: 12/2 became 12/12. That is a high-confidence reconciliation, not invoice-level proof. LSU's report names EACS as payee, while N957CR is registered to MMR West; the invoice or trip sheet is still needed to confirm the tail and billing relationship.
