An Iowa Concrete Company's Jet Fetched Iowa State's New Coach From Pullman
Croell Inc.'s Citation — a documented Cyclone booster — flew empty to Pullman, Washington and brought Jimmy Rogers to Ames on Dec. 6, the day after Iowa State hired him off Washington State.
Iowa State hired Jimmy Rogers away from Washington State on Friday, Dec. 5. The next day, a Cessna CJ3 owned by Croell Inc. — a New Hampton concrete company that turns up on the Cyclones' donor wall — flew empty from its Charles City base to Pullman, then carried a passenger back to Ames, touching down after 8 p.m.
It's the textbook retrieval pattern: booster jet out empty, home full, the day after the hire. ADS-B places the aircraft, not its passengers, but the Pullman-to-Ames run lines up exactly with Rogers heading to his new job.
