Tennessee's university-owned jet left the Springfield-area airport at 10:26 p.m. Saturday, 86 minutes after the Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony was scheduled to end. It landed back in Knoxville just after midnight.

The return completed a trip that began with a 4:19 p.m. arrival before the 7 p.m. ceremony honoring Chamique Holdsclaw, Candace Parker, Nikki McCray-Penson and Carla McGhee. The timing and paired route make Hall of Fame event travel the strongest explanation.

The flight record does not identify the travelers, and no public manifest surfaced.
